Advanced Recreational

For Amateur Chefs and Industry Professionals

Have you always dreamed of attending culinary school, but can't fit an intense, full-time curriculum into your busy schedule?  Our Advanced Recreational classes give you an opportunity to cook one night per week, while building a solid foundation in the culinary and/or pastry arts.  Choose from either Culinary Techniques 101 (CT101)  or Pastry Techniques 101 (PT101) and then progress to the Advanced Culinary Techniques (ACT) series and beyond.

Many of our students are amateur chefs who regularly cook at home and want to learn more.  Other students work in the food industry, but have no formal training and are looking to further their career.  Courses are designed specifically for students who have basic skills and lots of passion, or those at the intermediate level who wish to improve their culinary and pastry prowess.  Combining classic technique with a contemporary approach, you'll get hands-on practical experience in each and every class.  You'll learn to cook and bake by expanding your knowledge, honing new techniques, perfecting your timing and developing and refining your sense of taste.

No matter what your motivation, LAC's Advanced Recreational classes offer a solid foundation to build on as your skillset grows and your love of food and learning expands.
