TUITION CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP OF $5,000 TO CULINARY ARTS PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
The 2012/2013 IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) Foundation scholarship is available to all Culinary Arts prospects in both the daytime and evening professional programs at L’Academie de Cuisine. The scholarship is $5,000 for tuition-credit to a student who enrolls in the Culinary Arts Program beginning July 2012 through April 2013. Chef Francois Dionot was the first President of the IACP and The Culinary Trust who administers the scholarship. Application requirements typically include a resume, two letters of reference, an academic transcript if the candidate has attended any school in the past 5 years and a two page statement detailing culinary goals. LAC’s curriculum is devoted to fine-dining cuisine and grounded in the technical and theoretical techniques of classical French traditions. With an emphasis on small class size, students receive personal attention and expert instruction under the guidance of professionally trained chefs. Les Dames d’Escoffier Washington DC Chapter to Give Scholarships
Eligibility: all women applying to L'Academie de Cuisine's professional culinary or pastry arts programs between the dates of July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. The Washington, DC Chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier (LDEI), an international philanthropic society of women in the food, beverage and hospitality fields, is calling for applications for its scholarships by April 16, 2012. The Les Dames D’Escoffier Scholarship for Education is given to qualified female applicants pursuing full-or-part time culinary, beverage or hospitality coursework. The amount of each scholarship given is a minimum of $1,000 and up to $5,000. The criterion that must be met by students applying for scholarships is set forth in the application form which can be found on Les Dames website.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than April 16, 2012 for consideration. Successful scholarship recipients will be notified no later than May 15, 2012 and funds will be sent directly to the named educational institution.
