Sandy Patterson graduated first in her class from L’Academie de Cuisine’s Culinary Career Training Program in 1998. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Clemson University. After completing her externship at the legendary Kinkead’s and a stint at Red Sage, Sandy worked in Admissions for L’Academie’s professional culinary programs. For the past seven years, Sandy has blended her professional restaurant experience with her skills as a stay-at-home mom to provide sophisticated yet practical recreational classes at the Bethesda campus of L’Academie. As a teacher, Sandy emphasizes classic techniques for the home cook, featuring subjects like seafood, potatoes, sauces, sushi, Asian wrappers and Thai food. Sandy also conducts classes for kids and teens as well as summer camps. Sandy’s husband, Brian, is also a L’Academie graduate and instructor at L’Academie de Cuisine.
