Chef Ramos was born in Jalapa, Veracruz on the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico. His family moved from Mexico to the Maryland area in the late 80’s, he attended school in the Bethesda area and he finished his degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland. In 2006 Chef Ramos graduated from the Professional Culinary Arts Program at L’Academie de Cuisine. Since then, Chef Ramos has been expanding his knowledge of authentic, interior Mexican cuisine by working with great chefs such as James Muir (Rosa Mexicano, DC), Miguel Ravago (Fonda San Miguel, TX), and Diana Kennedy (“My Mexico” cookbook). Currently, Chef Ramos is an instructor at Carlos Rosario’s Culinary Arts program in Washington DC. His passion for food, constant travels and painstaking attention to detail make Chef Ramos a very dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate cook.
