Drew Faulkner is a culinary professional who began her career studying French and Italian cuisines with Madeleine Kamman in her famed Boston cooking school and restaurant in 1976. She went on to cook at Front Street Restaurant Boston, Zuni Café and China Moon in San Francisco, and The Olema Inn in Point Reyes, CA. She also built two successful catering businesses and has taught extensively in both professional (CIA Greystone Campus, Napa, CA) and non-professional (Draeger’s and Tante Marie’s Cooking Schools, San Francisco, Sur La Table, Canton, CT) environments. Her own continuing education includes an apprenticeship with Chef Georges Blanc at La Mere Blanc, Vonnas, France, an advanced degree in South and Southeast Asian Studies from UC Berkeley, extensive travel in Asia, and exploring India with renowned author Julie Sahni. Drew will be focusing her teaching with L’Academie de Cuisine on the cuisines of Italy, Asia, and India.
