Alonso Roche is a 2004 graduate of the Culinary Arts Program and is an instructor at L’Academie de Cuisine. He has worked as a Sous Chef for Persimmon and Willow Restaurants previous to teaching at the Bethesda campus of L’Academie. His specialty is teaching Latin themed menus and European cuisine. Alonso was an Emmy award-winning television producer for the Univision Television Network before he decided to focus on his culinary talents. He has a B.A. in Communications from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. Alonso has been cooking, studying and teaching in Spain for the past year. He was working in a Michelin star restaurant.
