I strongly believe the difference between good and excellent lies in the details and the drive to better yourself. And that is exactly what L'Academie de Cuisine gave me as a student and now as a faithful alumnus. -- Jacques Van Staden, Culinary Arts Program, 1993, A James Beard Nominee "Rising Star of the Year", and Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations, Celebrity Cruises

L'Academie de Cuisine is very proud of the achievements of its alumni.  Many of our alumni are
renowned chefs, owners of their own restaurants, personal chef businesses, catering companies, cake design businesses and food shops.  Other graduates have gone into related field s such as teaching, food writing for magazines and newspapers, TV production, food research and development, and sales and marketing in hotels and food companies.

Alumni are important members of the L'Academie de Cuisine community, and the individualized attention received as a student continues after graduation.  L'Academie de Cuisine's career placement center is available to alumni throughout their careers.  Our personalized network of friends, colleagues, and associates in the food world are always interested in working with our graduates.  Alumni are always encouraged to come back and talk with us about the next step in their career.

Staying in touch

Each year we arrange alumni gatherings for friends to reconnect and for alumni to meet new graduates. In addition to these social events, L'Academie offers several classes to alumni with a special "alumni only" price.  These events are found under "
Events for Graduates".

L'Academie continues to reach out to its alumni through our newsletter The Duck Press  that highlights news about the school and graduates from our professional programs.
